About
My name is Linda Sheppard. I am a Christian coach and consultant.
My educational background is grounded in counseling with a master's degree in the psychology from Western Baptist College. I hold post-graduate certifications in Adoptive and Foster Therapy from Portland State University, Attachment Therapy through Cascadia Training, as a TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner with training through Texas Christian University, and as a Trauma Trainer certified through Crisis Care Training International. I possess the skills and knowledge to provide trauma-informed care and interventions, not only to individuals, but also with families and throughout the adoption triad.

With a wealth of life and professional experiences with over 25 years working in the field of adoption, foster care, and attachment, I bring a comprehensive understanding and expertise to my work.
As a family, we have adopted 12 children through international, domestic, and embryo adoption. Our compassionate home has welcomed infants, older children, and even sibling groups, with 7 of our 14 children joining us after disrupted adoption placements. Within our family, we navigate a range of special needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Our adopted children originate from diverse countries such as China, Vietnam, Haiti, Ecuador, and the USA, celebrating a multicultural and global perspective.
My dedication and contributions to the field of adoption have been recognized through the prestigious Congressional "Angel in Adoption" Award, which I gratefully received in Washington DC. As a member of the Caribbean Psychological Association, I actively engage in professional development and networking within the region. I am a sought-after speaker at conferences, having presented at the Refresh Adoption Conference for many years, where I share insights and best practices related to adoption.

Additionally, I serve as a trainer with Crisis Care Training International, where I have the privilege of equipping individuals and organizations with the necessary knowledge and skills to support individuals and families facing crisis and trauma. I also lead trauma training groups to establish mental health services in rural communities across the globe, fostering positive social change.

Whether you're an adoptive family, an adoptee yourself, or just someone who is seeking clarity on life's purpose, my educational background, and extensive professional and personal experiences equips me with the tools and resources to support you every step of the way.
